| Geometry, Symmetry and Physics [4] | Representations of the Double Dyck Path Algebra and Connections to the Elliptic Hall Algebra |

The double Dyck path algebra B_{q,t} is constructed from an infinite quiver of affine Hecke algebras connected via raising and lowering operators. In this talk I will discuss joint work with Eugene Gorsky and Jose Simental where we construct and classify the semisimple representations of B_{q,t}. I will also explain how the elliptic Hall algebra arises as the spherical subalgebra of B_{q,t}. |

| Geometry & Topology [5] | Marked Length Spectrum Rigidity for Surface Amalgams |

The marked length spectrum of a negatively curved metric space can be thought of as a length assignment to every closed geodesic in the space. A celebrated result by Croke and Otal says that metrics on negatively curved closed surfaces are determined completely by their marked length spectra. In my talk, I will discuss my work towards extending Croke and Otal’s result to a large class of surface amalgams which are generalizations of closed, negatively curved surfaces. |
| Quantum Topology and Field Theory [6] | Skein modules, character varieties and essential surfaces of 3-manifolds |

I will discuss recent progress towards understanding how the existence of essential surfaces in a 3-manifold reflects on the structure of its Kauffman bracket skein module.
Time permitting, I will also discuss how this progress can be used to compute the dimension of these skein modules for “small” 3-manifolds.
The talk will be based on joint work with Renaud Detcherry and Adam Sikora.

| Analysis [8] | Fractional Laplacians: propagation, delocalisation, and evolution |

“How concentrated can an Laplace eigenfunction be in a small set?” In this talk, we pedagogically survey some old results around the question, and connect such eigenstate concentration to scars and chaos in quantum systems. We then discuss some new control results for fractional Laplacians, with their application in obtaining new decay estimates for linearised gravity and capillary water waves. Those are joint works with Perry Kleinhenz (Illinois State), and with Jian Wang (IHÉS). |
