Around Satake isomorphism for affine Kac-Moody groups

In this talk I am going to review various aspects of (both classical and geometric) Satake isomorphism for reductive groups as well as some applications of it to automorphic forms, algebraic geometry, mathematical physics and combinatorics. I will then indicate how some of these constructions and results can be generalized to affine Kac-Moody groups.
